Nurses who want to work in United Arab Emirates (UAE) are in luck because there is a job opportunity waiting for them in a big government hospital in Abu Dhabi. The hiring process will be via Abba Personnel Services Inc., a licensed recruitment agency. Representatives from the hospital will visit the Abba office this month to interview nurse-applicants.

This health institution is reputed to be one of the highest-paying hospitals in the Middle East. Managed by Global Medical Solutions in Abu Dhabi, the government hospital with a 365-bed facility intends to hire almost 200 new nurses from the Philippines.

Applicants will be interviewed by recruitment team from Abu Dhabi composed of eight people. They need nurses for the following departments: Intensive Care Unit, Recovery Room, Emergency Room, Female and Male Medical Ward, Male Ortho Ward, Out Patient Department, Cardiology, Oncology, Endoscopy, Long Term, Stepdown, Hemodialysis, Pediatric, Anesthesia and VIP.

Global Medical Solutions also went to the Philippines in December 2007 to recruit 178 Filipino nurses. Upon selection, most of the hired nurses only had to wait for two months before they were deployed.

The said hospital is said to offer the most attractive compensation for nurses because the starting salary for those with at least 3 years work experience is more or less USD 1,300 a month or Php 61,380. For every year in excess of 3 years work.

a nurse’s salary goes up. Nurses with extensive experience in specialty areas can earn as much as USD2476 or Php 116,904 per month.

Additional benefits include: free airfare, yearly housing allowance equivalent to 3 months salary, free education up to 3 children, and a family visa. The family visa allows a nurse employee to bring her family in UAE.
