The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC - Manila) andBoard of Nursing (BoN) recently announced Board Resolution No. 2009 - 17 series of 2009 which states the new dress code for the examinees of the Nurses Licensure Examination (NLE).

This resolution specifies the specific dress requirement for nursing graduates during board exams. It also states that an examinee not dressed in the prescribed nurse uniform will be allowed to enter the testing rooms. The said resolution was created with the aim to discipline the nurses and at the same time instill in them a pride for the Nursing profession.

Listed below are the specific dress requirements for nurses when taking the Nurses Licensure Examination.

Female: Clinical Uniform with white shoes and white stockings but without nameplate, school insignia/ logo or pin.

Male: Clinical Uniform with white shoes and white socks but without nameplate, school insignia/ logo or pin.

Pregnant Female: White Clinical Scrub Suit

Repeaters: may wear clinical Scrub Suit

The said resolution will be strictly implemented and anyone who will not abide by the rules will not be allowed to take the examination. Likewise their examination fees will be forfeited. Even examinees who are not allowed entry but then later return in proper uniform would still be denied the right to take an exam if he or she arrived late.
