Recruitment Starts for the 2nd Batch of Filipino Caregivers and Nurses for Japan

Filipino nurses and caregivers who wish to work in Japan but failed to send in their applications during the 1st recruitment that took place early this year now have another chance to fulfill their dream of working in this Asian country.

 

The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) announced through their website that they are now accepting applicants for the hiring of the 2nd batch of nurses and caregivers to Japan. Similar to the 1st recruitment, the POEA will handle the recruitment with the help of the Japan International Corporation of Welfare Services (JICWELS). This is still a part of Japan Philippines Economic Partnership Agreement (JPEPA).

 

Requirements for Nurses:

BSN Graduates;

With Board License; and,

With at least three (3) years experience

 

Requirements for Caregivers:

A graduate of any four (4) year course;

Certified as Caregiver by TESDA; or

A graduate from a nursing school with no board license


Applicants will go through an aptitude test and interview to be conducted by JICWELS. This is necessary to facilitate the matching of applicants with employers.
A medical examination will also be required after the selection process.

 

Nominal expenses of application shall be borne by applicants for document submission/authentication, medical examination (P1,500 basic) and visa fee (P1,150).The Japanese government will shoulder airfare and onsite training costs.

 

Qualified applicants need to submit the following documents to the Manpower Registry Division, Ground Floor, POEA Building Ortigas Cor. Edsa, Mandaluyong Cityor register at www.eregister.poea.gov.ph:

 

  • A detailed resume
  • Diploma
  • Transcript of Records
  • PRC License
  • Employment Certificates
  • Valid TESDA Certificate
  • Original and photocopy of first page of valid passport
  • One (1) 2x2 picture

 

Qualified applicants from Cebu and Davaoshall personally submit the above mentioned documents to the POEA regional office of the said regions.
