Nurses Warned Against Submitting Fake Documents to UK Embassy

Many Filipino nurses want to go to United Kingdom (UK) to study because it would also give them the opportunity to be employed there and earn lots of money. This dream to be given a student visa in UKis probably the reason why there are nurses who would go to the extent of submitting fraudulent documents.

In lieu with this, a recruitment consultant, Emmanuel Geslani wants to warn Filipinos against this unethical practice. Geslani said that submitting fake documents to the UK embassy faces the risk of being banned from entering UK for 10 years.

In fact the UK Embassy recently rejected the student visa application of two Filipinos because the documents they submitted were discovered fake. For that reason, they have to wait for 10 years before they can apply again.

The consular officers in the British embassy discovered the fake documents because they were not able to confirm the authenticity of the bank certifications they submitted.

Geslani informed that the bank certificates were issued in a province from Northern Luzon, but the students' papers indicated they were residents of Bicol province, which is in Southern Luzon.

This fact arouses the suspicions of the consular officers and denied the visa application saying they had concerns that the bank documents may be fraudulent.

The bank certificates are important because it is a proof that the visa applicant is financially capable to support his or her studies in UK as well as keep up to the high cost of living there.

According to Geslani, the UK embassy usually requires a show money that ranges   from Php450,000 to Php650,000, depending on their location in the UK, and is deposited in an accredited bank which issues the required certification to the applicant.

Geslani explained, "The consultancy office assisting these students, the International Student Advisors, has to rely on the documents given by the students, and they had no way to verify the certifications as these were issued by banks."
