Say No To Volunteer Fees For Nurses: Join A Fun Run
It is no secret that most nursing graduates in the Philippines today
wants to work abroad. It is also understandable considering the fact that job
opportunities for them in the country are so scarce. The greener pasture is definitely
in a foreign land but the problem is that most employers abroad require applicants
to have at least two years of hospital work experience.
Since the number of nursing graduates far outweighs the
number that local hospitals need, medical institutions can now afford to hire
nurses for free, thus the birth of volunteer nurses. It has also become a
common practice for nurses to pay a certain fee so they can get a hospital work
experience.
This practice seems not fair for the nurses who finished a
four-year nursing degree and some even passed the local board exam. For this
reason, a nursing review center, Allgen Reviewers wants to capture the attention
of the government and put a stop to volunteer fees for nurses.
They will do this by organizing a fun run that is set to
happen this November. If you want to participate, the details of the fun run is
provided below:

nurse volunteer fees.”
1st Fun Run Event by Allgen Reviewers USA Inc.
When: November 14, 2010
Location: Manila (MOA) and Cebu- simultaneous event

Registration:
Promotion
shall be done two month before the event.Interested
participants may register online and/or get registration form from Allgen
Reviewers USA, Inc.
Registration
runs from: August 02-October 22, 2010
Actual Fun Run:
Thirty
(30) minutes before the actual fun run, the organizers shall ask the
participants to convene at the starting line for the announcement of rules
and warm up exercises.
On
the cue of a start shot, the starting line rope shall be released to
indicate the start of the fun run. Patrol motorcycles shall guide the participants
on the route of the fun run.
Two
water refilling stations will be available on the 2nd and 4th kilometer of
the route.
Participants
who will be able to arrive/pass/finish the 3,5,10 & 16 kilometer run
shall be given a kilometer indicator lace.
Paramedics
will be on stand-by at 3rd, 5th, 10th and 16th kilometer run.
Three
(3) “FREE RIDES” are available on the 3,5,10 & 16 kilometer run, in
case, participants opted to stop running. The “CANNOT RUN PEOPLE” will be
carried back to the Capitol Building Only.
First
three finishers will be recognized, given a trophy and a gift from Allgen.
Claiming of Prizes: All the participants will be given a certificate of
participation and Allgen’s bag (for first 200 registrants) upon presentation of
registered number after the event.
Judging The
Winners:
For the first three participants who will cross the end
line, they will be determined through the time record they made with the help
of Allgen Run organizers/ fun run marshals.
