PRC Announces July 2011 NLE Result: 37,513 New Registered Nurses

The result of the Nursing Licensure Examination (NLE) that was held last July is finally out. The Philippine Regulations Commission (PRC) announces that 37,513 out of 78, 135 got a passing mark in the most recent NLE. This figure represent a passing rate of 48%.

 

The July 2011 NLE was given in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Dagupan, Davao, Iloilo, La Union, Legazpi, Lucena, Nueva Ecija, Pagadian, Pampanga, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.

 

The members of the Board of Nursing are Carmencita M. Abaquin, Chairman; Leonila A. Faire, Betty F. Merritt, Perla G. Po, Marco Antonio C. Sto.Tomas, Yolanda C. Arugay and Amelia B. Rosales, Members.

 

The PRC said, “The results of examination with respect to six (6) examinees were withheld pending final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examination."

 

According to Section 16, of Republic Act No. 9173, “all successful candidates in the examination shall be required to take an oath of professional before the Board or any government official authorized to administer oaths prior to entering upon the nursing practice”.

 

Procedure for Registration

 

Requirements:

  • Duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
  • Current Community Tax Certificate (cedula)
  • 2 pieces picture (passport size, colored with white background and complete name tag)
  • 1” x 1” picture (1 pc, colored with white background and complete name tag)
  • 2 sets of metered documentary stamps
  • 1 short brown envelope with name and profession

 

  • Initial Registration Fee: P600
  • Annual Registration Fee: P450 for 2011-2014.

 

Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals. The dates and venues of all oathtaking for new nurses will be announced later.

 

The topnotcher for this batch comes from University of the Philippines–Manila. He is Jomel Garcia Lapides who got arating of 88.40 percent. The secondans third placers are Hazel Cortes Crisostomo and Beverly Lynne Yao Ong which both got a score of

87.40 percent.
