AUSTRALIA NEEDS 40,000 NURSES IN 2010 -
BUT BEWARE OF EMPLOYMENT AGENCIES WHO ARE HIRING NURSES.
THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO SIGN TO ANY AGENCY:
If you are a Filipino Registered Nurse, you can only LEGALLY work as a registered nurse in Australia if you are a licensed australian registered nurse.
For you to become an australian registered nurse, you must have an IELTS of 7 on each skill area, apply to the Nursing Board, successfully complete your 3 months bridging course in Australia and get your australian nursing license as registered nurse.
YOU MUST REMEMBER: The Nursing Board in Australia will NOT permit any Filipino nurse to work in an registered nurse role without passing all these requirements or without an australian nursing license at all.
*For Philippine Nurses who did not pass the board exam or called “underboard,” you can still apply to become an australian registered nurse.
